*November scholastic order forms went home on Monday.  if you are interested in ordering please have it in by Monday November 18.  If you are ordering from Madame's french order please keep it seperate from english with its own cheque.  French orders are due Friday November 22nd.  Thanks for your help!

Alphabet Fun

Alphabet  inquiry has sprouted in our room this week.  The kinders are eager to learn about the alphabet and letters so we've been busy providing many opportunities for them to explore.  We've been listening to songs, playing with playdough alphabet mats, reading books and we a currently in the process of setting up a letters post office in our drama centre. Stay tuned for that! Here are some pictures of the kinders playing with the playdough mats :)

Check the mail.....

English and French scholastic orders are going home today!  Please note that there are different return dates.  English orders are due Monday November 18 and French orders are due to Madame Friday November 22.  Send SEPERATE english and french orders in with mail bags and we'll make sure they go to the right people!  Thanks!
Remember, scholastic is a great was to help our classroom get new books and other resources that can be helpful to our program!

Monday Reminders.....

For our Remembrance Day ceremony we are asking children to wear blue jeans and black shirts.  We are also accepting loonie and toonie donations for Remembrance Day.  Have a good weekend!!

Reminders....

Wednesday is Spirit Day! In support of the United Way we are asking that each child dress in blue and white, St. Anne school colours, and have blue stripes painted on their face by their classroom teacher. Let's get into the spirit by celebrating all the great things that happen at St Anne! We are asking for a donation of a loonie or toonie to support the United Way and the Catholic Education Foundation.

Also, parent teacher interviews are Wednesday night. Just a reminder that Mrs. Logan and Mrs. Meredith's interviews will take place in the gym due to childcare using our space.  We look forward to chatting with you!

Chicka, Chicka, Boom Boom

Today we had a great alphabet circle! It started out with a song "Do You Know Your Alphabet" .  Then  we watched a cool version of Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.  After that we played a game where everyone got a magnet letter and we made the alphabet on the magnetic board.  Later on at learning centres we drew a big coconut tree so the kinders could retell the story.  Alphabet fun!

Alphabet Mania!!!

We've been working hard learning our alphabet and letter sounds!  Today we did some fun new activities to practice our letter recognitions and writing. Check out the pictures below

This afternoon we put letter envelopes on the table.  The kinders then practiced writing their letter and put them in the mail!
